Meet Amy, an extraordinary piano & voice instructor whose passion for music has guided her life deeply. Amy has performed in multiple choirs (including directing and accompanying), musicals, festivals, and an opera (where she met her husband!). Most recently, she enjoyed singing Ave Maria in the 2023 Community Christmas Concert in Rexburg. Since 1999, she has perfected her craft as a pianist through professional lessons, teaching, and performing/accompanying. In 2005, she started the extremely rewarding journey as a vocalist and has continued to hone her abilities–studying with musical theater professionals at the university level and ultimately specializing in professional opera singing/performing. Amy organized and put together her own senior recital which featured both musical theater and opera style songs in multiple languages, as well as classical piano pieces. She also has a competitive streak, which led her to compete in Idaho State (Vocal) Solo for 2 years in a row and was awarded 2nd and 1st place in district and 8th and 5th place in the state overall. Amy enjoys teaching students of all levels, especially when she is able to help them discover and grow confidence in themselves through music. She instills in students that performing isn’t about the performer - it’s about the message.
