Micah Atkinson

Voice | South Jordan

Micah hails from West Virginia where she began participating in theatre at age 8, dance classes at age 6 and singing since she could talk. She has also been a vocal soloist with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra on several occasions. She and her father, Mark Atkinson have recorded three full length albums. Micah graduated from Belmont University with a BFA in Musical Theatre. She released her debut EP "what you need" in November of 2019. It features five original songs with lyrics and music written by Micah. Micah has developed a love for performing and teaching all styles of music. She believes that a classical technique provides the foundation for singing any and all types of music.

When she's not performing, you can find Micah enjoying some of her many hobbies including watching movies (The Sandlot, Breakfast at Tiffany's and Star Wars are some of her favorites), watching TV, and spending time with her large family. Micah is the fourth of five children and a proud aunt to 13 nieces and nephews.

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
