Heather grew up in a totally immersed musical background, and her love for music has only grown over the years! She began playing the piano at age 7 and continued to take private lessons until her freshman year of college at UVU, where she studied with Professor Joanna Oshida and sang in the UVU Masterworks chorale with Dr. Steven Criddle. Over the years she completed 9 levels of A.I.M., and participated in numerous performance and judging events including memorizing and performing a concerto 22 pages long!!!
Her first job ever was playing the piano at a dance studio. Shortly after that, she began teaching piano lessons at home. Some of her favorite highlights growing up were being part of a piano quartet that performed all over Utah, California, and Nevada, accompanying middle school orchestra, singing in choir as a madrigal, and taking AP Music Theory. The ability to read and play music is one of her most cherished skills and she loves being able to help young musicians find their love for music as well.
Heather believes that learning the piano can be the perfect foundation and jumping off point for any instrument and it is truly something that will last a lifetime!
