Piano | Lehi / Highland

Cambria grew up in Bountiful, Utah and has taken piano since she was 9 years old. Along with finding a passion for dance and community service, Cambria fell in love with piano and the power of music. She has been taking technical and repertoire examinations through the Royal Conservatory of Music for the last few years and will complete her Level 9 exam in the beginning of the New Year. She is currently a student at BYU completing her undergraduate degree in Family Studies and wants to pursue a career in social work because of her great love of people and desire to empower others.

Cambria has a strong belief that piano is more than just being able to play the notes on a page and learning theory, it is also about building confidence and courage, developing study skills and finding healthy ways to cope with stress. She would love for her students to learn to be patient with themselves. It can be really easy to compare your musical ability with someone else's, but overall, Cambria wants her students to enjoy the journey of learning to incorporate music into their lives without the discouragement of comparison.

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
