The focus of Camille’s studio for K-12 students is to develop well-rounded musicians with practical piano skills and a strong foundation of music knowledge and appreciation.
Camille began studying piano at a young age and later graduated from the University of Utah in Music studying with Dr. Jie Lu. She then went on to pursue a degree in Music Education from UVU and graduated with an emphasis in Choral Conducting. She continues to study piano and loves tackling new pieces. She was surrounded by all types of music growing up, which continues to influence life today. She loves Classical, Pop, Soundtracks, and Broadway.
Camille creates lesson plans to develop students’ musical skills with emphasis on tactical abilities, music- reading, and theoretical drills. Her methodology and teaching techniques range from beginning to intermediate to accommodate the diverse musical experience and abilities of each student. One of the things she most enjoys about her 15 plus years of teaching piano is watching the progress of her students.
Camille has worked with other piano studios to develop effective and fun master classes to supplement teaching efforts and motivate students through music games, performance, and peer interaction.
Camille also loves collaborative music. She has performed piano duets and trios as well as accompanied instruments. She believes that it is important to perform music as a music building experience and has arranged many piano recitals.
