Carissa, an avid arts champion, has been a vocal, acting, and movement instructor since 2010. She studied as a performer at Tuacahn High School for the Performing Arts, and then at Westminster College with a Theater Performance emphasis. She has an inherent passion for storytelling through music. In addition to performance and voice instruction, Carissa has most recently been a producer and director for film, theater, and live concert events. She produced and directed a demo album for a new musical featuring artists like Alfie Boe, Rob Houchen, Hailey Hyde, and Preston Yates. She is passionate about directing powerful and sincere vocal and acting performances from the artists she works with. Carissa works with her students according to their individual goals and strengths, while empowering them with tools to stretch and improve themselves. She specializes in range expansion, mastery of vocal registers and placements, vowel modulation, style choice, song mapping, and performance.
