Casey is a skilled and versatile musician, and has been sharing his love of music through teaching since 2014. He is able to teach a range of instruments including guitar, ukulele, bass, and drums. While he feels comfortable teaching a wide range of styles and genres, his favorite thing to teach is electric guitar! Casey has worked as a substitute teacher in public schools, and feels comfortable teaching students of all ages and learning abilities.
Casey’s teaching style is very encouraging, as well as creativity and application-based. He wants his students to feel like they can apply what they learn as soon as they learn it, and his lessons encourage them to do this in a structured format. Casey strives to try to find a level of learning progression that fits each individual student. He understands that students have different motivation levels, and the importance of challenging his students just enough to keep them going, but not overwhelm them. The final component of Casey’s teaching philosophy is confidence and a belief in oneself. He is a big believer in attitude and self-image, and truly believes that if his students believe they are capable of something, they can and will achieve it!
