Dante is extremely excited to work with any type of student; whether it be an aspiring career musician or a musician that just wants to play for fun. Dante believes that any way a person wants to connect with music is 100% valid and wants to be a part of your musical journey. Dante is a sort of jack of all trades as a musician; he has an honors degree in music studies from Westminster College, and took many differing classes from aural skills and music theory to jazz ensemble and music technology. Dante has been surrounded by many different musical environments in his life with both of his parents being college doctoral professors in classical music history and theory, and his own study leaning more towards the jazz medium. Dante isn't only a jazz musician however, and with the classical skill born from his parents education, to the jazz skill in his collegiate education, and his experience performing and recording contemporary music, Dante can teach his students whatever they'd like to learn. Dante offers his students not just hours of time in lesson planning and preparation for the students' exact needs, but offers the students control of what they would like to learn, while also receiving practical musical guidance and exercises. Dante understands how crazy life can be and wants to provide a positive and uplifting environment for his students, without any expectation of perfection or overworking. Dante believes fundamentally that each musician is at a different path in their journey, and that it is crucial to meet every student where they're at. He wants to motivate them to work hard without pushing them too much, and knows that everyone has the chance to become a wonderful musician in their own ways. Dante loves getting to know his students and the things that they like to do, and tries to weave those into the lessons to engage and connect with the student more. He is very excited to be teaching with The Piano Place!
