Tanner is a distinguished pianist, singer, composer, and arranger. He has spent 19 years studying the piano and is now a sought-after collaborative pianist. Tanner is currently a senior at the University of Utah, pursuing a degree in Choral Music Education. He loves performing with ensembles and is an active performer, who has many insights into the musical business world here in Utah. Tanner is deeply committed to helping students become functional and savvy musicians. His approach includes not only regular performance, but a pursuit of theoretical understanding of both the piano and the voice. He fell in love with teaching during his 5 years teaching private piano lessons in West Jordan. He currently lives with his glorious wife Elizabeth in West Jordan.
He has studied piano with Margaret Mueller, Delores Semon, Dan Hill, Marla Hintze, Cassie Taylor, and CJ Madsen. His voice studies have been conducted with Barlow Bradford, Kelly DeHaan, Kirstin Gunlogson and Kirsten Chavez.
