Evan has been performing as a live gig musician since 2010 and has had rich experiences as a singer, guitar player, actor, and songwriter. When performing, Evan works to achieve a certain level of freedom of expression, and he believes that a sense of liberation is what makes doing anything at a high level so rewarding. Although the road of skill building and proper technique can be challenging, Evan believes that learning your instrument is meant to be enjoyable, and he plans on cultivating a fun and free environment for his students to grow! Evan believes that the purpose of lessons is to get better, and he looks forward to hearing all about why you want to get better, and guiding you through that process. He believes in the importance of keeping an eye out for the things in your life that ignite you because they can be an indication that you should dive in more deeply. Evan believes that art is an opportunity to engage deeply with the world, and more importantly, to engage deeply with yourself. He believes that something all people have in common is the potential to improve, and views his part in your improvement as an immense responsibility. Starting something new can be intimidating, but Evan encourages anyone who wants to learn to give it a try!
