Teri Lynn Holt Horne-- loves sharing and teaching music with children! She recognizes the power of life enhancement learning music contributes to self esteem, confidence, discipline, concentration, academic growth, and social enjoyment.
Teri received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance from California State University East Bay, San Francisco area, California, where she served as the Orchestra's Concert Mistress. Along with her University Music Pedagogy studies, she is trained through SAA, Suzuki Method and certified as a Musikgarten Instructor. In California, she taught music classes in the Gifted and Talented Suzuki Association and performed with various Bay-Area Symphony Orchestras including Stockton, San Francisco Emeritus, Livermore-Amador, and Diablo Symphonies along with the Tri-Valley String Quartet. In Utah, Teri has taught Orchestra in the Canyons School District and Waterford School all levels. Currently, she continues to teach Orchestra in the Jordan School District. She has also coached and conducted Timpanogos Orchestras, in Highland, Utah. She taught Suzuki violin at Vista School, in Ivins, St. George area, Utah. She wrote curriculum for Music Smart, founded, Sterling Tones performing group, has performed with various Opera Companies, many Musical Orchestra pits, has conducted, coached, and adjudicated in the Alpine and Jordan School Districts. She has had many honors and awards including full-tuition University music scholarships, Sterling Scholar, All-State Orchestra, National School Orchestra Association Award, and State of Utah Award for Music Composition. Her High School students consistently have received Superior ratings at Festival events throughout California and Utah.
