Jessa comes from Draper, Utah. She began taking piano lessons at 8 years old, and now enjoys being able to teach what she loves to her own students! She taught piano as a high schooler before heading to Tokyo, Japan for 18 months as a volunteer for her church. While in Japan, Jessa loved finding pianos along the streets and outside of train stations to sit down and play for those around her! She is happy to be back here in Utah with the opportunity to sit and play with her students again.
Jessa’s favorite thing about piano is being able to sit with a smile on her face as she expresses her feelings through playing. Her main goal as a teacher is to help her students to feel that same happiness that she is able to feel, even when it gets hard or frustrating. It is about developing the skill of learning to play, but it is also about having fun and feeling happy. She is excited to laugh and play with her students as they enjoy practicing new songs together!
