Lauryn is a 20 year old singer/songwriter from Draper, Utah. Lauryn has been performing in various ways since she was 3 years old and has played the guitar for about 6 years. Lauryn sang and played guitar in the "Vocal Sport" competition where she got 1st Place for Judges Choice and 2nd Place for Audience Choice for her original cover of “Girl’s Just Wanna Have Fun.” The Vocal Sport competition led her to the opportunity of being on Season 12 of NBC's "The Voice." Lauryn sang that same original cover of "Girl's Just Wanna Have Fun" for her blind audition and got a three-chair turn with coaches Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys and Blake Shelton turning their chair. She chose to be on Team Alicia and was in the Top 48 of Season 12. Lauryn wrote guitar and lyrics for and released an original song called “Catch You" for suicide awareness. She also released an original song, "Covergirl," to help people to realize that ordinary is beautiful. She was recently able to sing the songs "Living Water" and “We Stand” on EFY albums for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She also sang the 2019 mutual theme song “If We Love Him” and helped write the song “Never Ends” for the album as well.
She recently returned home from serving an 18 month mission in Dallas, Texas. Before going to Texas, she worked at The Piano Place for a year and a half and loves helping to share the peace, solace and joy that music brings with those around her! She believes that learning about music truly helps us learn a lot more than just music skills, but helps us to learn precious life skills. Lauryn continues to sing and play guitar and plans on releasing new music in the near future and is excited to be teaching again at The Piano Place!
