Piano | St George

Kaisa grew up in Boise, Idaho and started piano at four years old. Immediately it became her favorite thing to do! She has been teaching since she was 15. She participated in annual competitions at Boise State University until she graduated high school, earning 5 star ratings. She is now a student at Dixie State University, and is excited to take up teaching again. She is a classically trained pianist, who teaches theory, technique, jazz, and cover songs as well. Her "why" for her love of teaching is the way music can make people feel, and the way it can connect us. She enjoys seeing young ones excited about what they are doing, those aha moments, and helping a child progress. She believes it is a valuable thing to help grow a young music lover, and aims for each student to feel empowered, safe, and encouraged when learning the piano.

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
