Piano, Voice | Draper, South Jordan

Lance is thrilled to be joining the team at The Piano Place. Since a young age, Lance has been heavily involved in music. While growing up, Lance participated in several school and community groups, including concert choir, show choir, band, community theater, and dance. A native of Arizona, Lance also competed at the state level in several vocal areas, including classical and jazz, and received several awards and recognitions. During all of this, Lance took piano lessons and regularly performed in the community as a collaborative pianist.

Since moving to Utah in 2016, Lance has participated in several performing groups, including UVU Men's Choir, UVU Opera, and SCERA Theater. He also works as a collaborative pianist, having worked with several groups and soloist, including Alex Boyé.

Lance is currently a student at UVU studying Music with a Vocal Emphasis. He has received training in music theory, aura skills, diction, and performance skills. He specializes in classical and music theater on voice, and collaborative work on piano. Lance focuses on the basics of technique and music theory, while incorporating essential aspects of musicianship and character. His passion is helping others to not only become better at performing music, but also at feeling and experiencing music. He believes that the more one learns about music, the more they learn about life.

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
