Born and raised in St. George, Locklin lives in Ivins and attends Utah Tech University. He began playing the guitar at 12 years old when he fell in love with rock music, and since then has studied under many professionals, including DSU instructor Lisle Crowley and UAA instructor/Tuacahn Pit Musician David Anderson. Locklin attended Tuacahn High School for the Performing Arts where he studied classical guitar while competing in region and state competition, and also played in the orchestra pit for many productions such as "High School Musical" and "Shakespeare In Love". Since graduating, Locklin has traveled throughout Utah playing with various country music artists, and enjoys playing worship music at South Mountain Community Church. His biggest strengths as a player are Country and Metal music, but he is very well rounded. Locklin is a guitar enthusiast and enjoys helping others. He loves working with students who are ready and motivated to learn, and provides a very friendly and comfortable learning atmosphere. He believes that a successful teacher is also a coach; it is his goal to provide students with problem solving skills and confidence that will follow them the rest of their lives, and most importantly, to have fun along the way!
