Macy

Piano, Voice | South Jordan

Macy has a Bachelor of Music from BYU and a huge passion for playing, writing, and teaching music. She has been singing and playing a variety of instruments since she was a toddler. As a vocalist, she has performed at talent shows, church functions, and even at the House of Blues in San Diego, California! Macy picked up the trombone in elementary school and has played in several different groups including several all-county and all-state honor bands and the trombone choir Bone-a-fied. While at BYU, she participated in the BYU Wind Symphony, Jazz Ensemble, Cougar Marching Band, Trombone Choir, and University Chorale. She has also had the privilege of working with legends such as Pancho Sanchez, Sal Lozano, Ryan Anthony, David Maslanka, Alex Boye, and Canadian Brass. Macy is excited to share her passion for music with her students and to help each student find the way that they can personally connect with music!

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
