McKaylee is a passionate and talented musician with a diverse background in piano, violin, and drums. She holds a Bachelor of Science in K-12 Music Education from Utah Tech University. Throughout her academic journey, McKaylee excelled as the front ensemble captain for her marching band, showcasing her leadership skills and musical expertise. Her outstanding abilities earned her a scholarship for music, recognizing her exceptional talent and commitment to the art form. McKaylee has actively participated in numerous honor bands and performed with both the Metropolitan State University of Denver band and the Utah State University band for three years each. Right after high school, she joined the Independent World Percussion group, Rise Percussion, in Colorado and achieved the prestigious title of state champions McKaylee is specifically trained to teach musical education to children and firmly believes in allowing her students to have a say in their learning journey, empowering them to explore their musical interests and preferences.One of her primary goals as a music teacher is to make music an enjoyable and fulfilling experience for her students. She is committed to ensuring that music remains an outlet for self-expression and creativity, rather than a chore or obligation. She strives to inspire her students to practice and progress in their musical endeavors.
