Montana

Guitar, Voice, Songwriting | Draper

Montana fell in love with the idea of playing/performing music at age 12 when he saw his brother perform a song at his wedding, singing with his acoustic guitar. Ever since then he started learning everything he could. Asking family members how to play certain chords, how to hold the pick, and how to tune the guitar. It got to the point where his mom finally decided to put him in private guitar lessons.

He took lessons from an awesome guy who was in a Beatles tribute band and looked exactly like George Harrison. After about a year of that, he started teaching himself and got to the point where he really just wanted to perform. During this time Montana also took vocal lessons to learn the correct technique and be the best performer possible.

Through high school, he played in a couple of bands for fun, but he decided that it was what he wanted to do for a career a few years after when he joined the band Cinders. He is still currently the guitarist/vocalist for the band Cinders. They’ve played multiple tours around the country and one tour through England. It’s been the most fun he’s had in his entire life, and he’s so excited to be able to share that love for playing music with others.

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
