Olivia

Cello | Draper, South Jordan

Olivia started playing cello when she was 9 years old in her elementary school orchestra and has since then become very passionate about music. Having grown up in a very musical household she started learning piano at a very young age before deciding to focus on cello and has also participated in many choirs. She is now a member of the Lyceum Philharmonic which has won best of state for 14 years in a row and is section leader for Herriman High School's Chamber 2 orchestra as well as president of the orchestra council.

Olivia loves teaching music and giving others an opportunity to see just how much music can impact your life. She hopes to make learning cello a fun experience and to encourage her students to find love for all kinds of music.

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
