Voice, Cello | South Jordan

Rosie grew up in Washington state, and is a current student at Brigham Young University. She is majoring in music with a vocal emphasis. Music has surrounded her for her entire life! She grew up playing piano and switched to cello in 5th grade. She played all throughout high school and was the principal cellist of her high school’s top orchestra. She competed at state-wide competitions, performed in a local quartet, and taught cello lessons all through high school. Singing, however, is Rosie’s true passion. She performed in community musicals and has sung in choirs for years. She even conducted a youth choir for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Rosie is a strong vocal soloist. She won the Southwest Washington Symphony’s young artist competition and was supposed to perform with them as an opera soloist before the pandemic. Rosie was also supposed to perform Mozart’s Requiem at the esteemed Carnegie Hall before COVID-19. With experience performing as a soloist, in shows, and in choirs - along with her teaching experience – Rosie is a great choice for any student wanting to strengthen their vocal skills. She can teach anything from pop, to musical theatre, to opera. She loves music and can’t wait to share that love with your student!

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
