Shannon’s interest in music started when she was three years old and has always known that it's what she would do when she grew up. She started taking guitar lessons at 8 years old with David Owen, and has been consistently performing since age ten. Because of this, Shannon has learned what it takes to put on an amazing performance with both a band and solo and has won a few awards including the Imagine Music: Battle Of The Bands. Shannon started taking voice lessons in 2015 from Chuck Gilmore and learned how to properly develop her voice for multiple genres, expand her range of notes, and make sure that there will be no damage to her voice as she is singing. Her passion for music has greatly affected her life and her positivity and knowledge will be shared in every single lesson. She started formally teaching in June of 2022 at Imagine Music and is extremely happy to teach at The Piano Place. Her specialties are Rock, Pop, and Musical Theater but she is comfortable teaching any genre. Shannon believes that music is for everyone and that no one will ever be turned away when they want to learn. The most important part about music is having fun!
