Born in Oruro, Bolivia, Shirley is a renowned concert pianist and piano teacher. Since her childhood, she has been awarded in national and international piano competitions. Shirley has been the student of famous piano professors from the United States, Russia and Mexico such us: Jeff Manokian, Irina Efanova, etc. In 2012, Shirley was chosen by the European Union to create projects based on music and culture for South America. These projects improved the life’s quality of vulnerable populations. Shirley has traveled to different countries: Panama, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Peru, etc. as a Piano performer, Piano Teacher and Project Manager. In 2018, her project called SHINE was presented to the Central Government of Bolivia. Shine’s project consists of organizing piano concerts with the objective of raising funds to support social causes. In the first version, women from the San Pedro prison in Bolivia were benefited with the first production center and the donation of industrial weaving and sewing machines where these women deprived of liberty are trained in skills such as sewing, weaving, etc. to later sell products and thus be able to provide for their families.
In 2018, Shirley received the TOP OUTSTANDING YOUNG PEOPLE AWARD by Junior Camara International, being one of the 10 most outstanding young people in Bolivia. In 2020 Shirley received the YOUNG ARTIST AWARD by the Government in Bolivia. Shirley's initiatives continue growing and helping diverse populations internationally.
