Piano, Ukulele, Drums | Farmington

Skylar has been playing music for as long as they can remember. They have perfect pitch and a natural passion for music that they can pass easily onto others. They have had an incredible amount of performing experience for their age and they know how to deal with performance nerves for naturally shy students, as well as additional tips for naturally outgoing students. Skylar teaches in a way that encourages students to take time on their own to go above and beyond what they have been instructed to do. Regardless of a student's goals for music in the future, learning to be curious is vital for success. Skylar is great for naturally curious students and can nudge them to do their own research about theory, composing, and so much more. Skylar knows the importance of good technique and has well-structured lessons to reinforce that, but they provide a creative atmosphere that uses the skills learned from the technique to become better as an artist. Skylar believes that music should always be fun, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be hard. The hard work pays off and that's why it's fun.

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
