Amy Beckert grew up in Payson, Utah where she took piano lessons for almost 15 years. During that time she participated in NFMC festival programs for 5 years competing against other pianists from across the state. She always loved playing the piano, especially with her siblings gathered around the piano singing together. Amy started teaching piano lessons when she was 14 years olds and taught for 5 years before going off to college. She loved sharing her passion for music with others.
Amy went to college at Utah State University where she got a degree in Elementary Education. While in college she briefly studied Piano Pedagogy and continued to take music lessons and perform when she could. Since graduating, she has been teaching 4th grade in Draper for 4 years and loves every minute of it! She is excited to apply her passion for learning and teaching with her passion for music!
