Ariana grew up loving music from a young age. Her first exposure to music was from her mom teaching piano at home, and she began taking piano lessons from her mom at age 9. At age 11, she started learning violin as well. Through her youth, she participated in the pit orchestra, solo & ensemble, and the Alaska State Youth Symphony. After high school, Ariana moved to Saint George, to pursue studies in music education. While in college, she was involved in string quartets, violin master classes, Dixie State Symphony, and pedagogy for piano and string instruments. In 2013, Ariana started teaching as an orchestra teacher’s aide at a few schools in Saint George. Shortly after, Ariana started teaching private lessons and completed her Bachelors in Music in 2017 from DSU. Ariana creates a safe space for her students to be able to learn at their own pace. It is important to her that students have a positive experience while learning an instrument. She believes that while a firm approach regarding technique and posture is necessary to avoid bad habits and possible injury, the main focus of her lessons is finding joy and fun in creating music. Ariana is excited to meet all the incoming students and to share her joy in teaching music.
