Ben is an experienced teacher and professional drummer. He's played the drums since 2000 and has been teaching since 2007. He has experience teaching a wide range of ages and skill levels. Ben has been a founding member of some of Salt Lake's most prominent bands. These include A Lily Gray, The Apathetics and Merry Andrew. He has recorded and performed professionally. Ben teaches not only the skills of drumming technique but how to create bands, gig, and compose original drum parts. Ben has had extensive training in mental health and mindfulness techniques. He studied mindfulness at the Deer Park Monastery in Escondido California in 2012. He incorporates mindfulness techniques into his teaching.
