Ben's music study began in 2006 when he was ten years old. He took piano lessons from a neighbor and played in small recitals. In 2008 he picked up cello and played in his junior-high orchestras. In 2010, he discovered a small talent for drums while playing Guitar Hero. From 2011 to 2015, Ben was relentless in his study and practice on drums. Because of his experience in piano and cello, he could write his own drum charts. He loved finding difficult songs, transcribing them and identifying the techniques he'd need to play them. Additionally, he had the guidance and support of two wonderful and infinitely patient drum teachers who helped accelerate his progress. From 2015 and onward, Ben's music study has been less linear. Drums are still his primary focus but he's also begun studying guitar, bass, and completed some college coursework towards an audio production degree. He loves learning and hopes to help others on their path like he was helped.
