Amy Bingham began taking piano lessons from her next-door neighbor shortly after she turned eight, not knowing then how big of a role music would come to play in her life. She continued lessons through college and began teaching piano herself at the age of 17.
She became the accompanist for her junior high orchestra and went on to spend many years accompanying both string and vocal teachers. While raising three children, she maintained a large piano studio before stepping away from teaching to return to college and earn a master’s degree in writing and teaching.
If there’s anything Amy loves more than playing the piano, it’s teaching. She enjoys finding fun and innovative ways to teach and reinforce musical concepts—and carries her “bag of tricks” with her wherever she goes.
