Kate has been passionately playing the violin since the age of three. With the ability to teach all genres, Kate brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her students. She has studied under renowned mentors such as Dr. Randal Clark at CCHS, international soloist performer William Hagen, and Trina Christensen, former director of the ISSI music camp.
Throughout her high school career, Kate has consistently showcased her talent, performing at concerto night every year since her sophomore year and qualifying for the state solo and ensemble competition annually, where she has earned superior ratings each time.
Kate’s teaching philosophy emphasizes more than just technical proficiency. She aims to instill integrity and a deep appreciation for the art of music. Believing that music is a universal language that connects and unifies people, Kate is dedicated to fostering a genuine love for music in her students, encouraging them to express themselves and understand the profound impact of their art.
