Avery

Piano | Pleasant Grove

Avery has been playing the piano for 20 years and has been teaching since 2011. Upon high school graduation, Avery was offered university scholarships to pursue piano pedagogy. Although she decided to pursue a different route with her degree, Avery has continued to receive training in piano technique and instruction. Throughout her 12+ years of teaching experience, Avery has worked as both a private and contracted piano teacher. Avery accepts students of all skill levels, ranging from beginning to advanced. She firmly believes that piano lessons should be an enjoyable experience for her students, and works hard to cater to their individual strengths and needs. Avery does her absolute best to ensure that her students are learning songs/skills that excite them, and she actively involves them in deciding what to focus on during their lesson time. She has found through her years of practice and teaching that hard work and diligent practicing pay off. Avery expects her students to put in the time and effort it takes to build their piano skills, and in return guarantees they will feel a sense of satisfaction with the progress they are making. Her goal is for each student to feel confidence in their piano abilities, excitement about the progress they’ve made, and a passion for a lifetime of learning.

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
