Claire began playing the piano at 10 years old, and 5 years later she was playing for her high school choir in front of 600 people. She has about two years worth of college-level music theory knowledge and was awarded with the 2023 outstanding high school accompanist award. Growing up, Claire had extreme performance anxiety but has conquered her fear by learning to play the piano. She has now played in front of thousands of people. Claire strives to make piano lessons an exciting and enjoyable experience for all ages, and believes it’s never too late to start learning. Claire started formally teaching piano lessons in 2022. She has experience working with children of all different abilities and special needs including ADHD, autism, down syndrome, and other genetic disorders. Claire strives to make the environment feel safe and loving for everyone. Claire believes that one of the most important parts of teaching is constantly offering positive feedback and reassurance to her students, as having confidence in yourself is a vital part of achieving new goals. She likes to explore all genres with her piano students so they can learn all of the different techniques and musical theory that goes into them.Overall, Claire is a bubbly and friendly teacher who has an absolute love for playing the piano, and she can't wait to share the gift of playing music with her students.
