Corban is a passionate musician with a love for all kinds of music. He’s been part of several bands that have played local gigs and even won some Battle of the Bands contests. While he specializes in Rock Music, Corban enjoys teaching and playing across all genres, including Indie, Alternative, Pop, and Country. Corban has been teaching guitar on and off since May 2020, and he really gets how it feels to be pushed into music lessons. After five years of piano lessons that he didn’t enjoy, he found his groove with guitar and quickly fell in love with it. That’s why he’s all about making sure his students learn songs they’re excited about, rather than just ticking off songs from a book. Corban’s great at figuring out songs by ear, so if there’s a particular song a student wants to learn, he’s got it covered and can even simplify it to meet the students level. He focuses on helping students get comfortable with chords, scales, songs, improvisation, and songwriting. Corban gives practice material that’s fun and helps build skills while making sure students understand the basics of music theory and composition. His goal is to make lessons enjoyable and to help each student achieve their musical dreams.
