Dakota is a talented composer, guitarist, and bassist from Sammamish, Washington. Dakota has a love for music that started from a young age. When he was 13, Dakota joined a band that would go on to open for Macklemore. Since then, he has been in many bands playing guitar, bass and drums. From 2013-2015 he honed his teaching skills by teaching hundreds of lessons as a missionary. In 2022, Dakota graduated from the Commercial Music Program at UVU. While there, he had the opportunity to learn from talented classical, jazz, and session guitarists, including Rich Dixon, Matt Harding, and Cynthia Spell. He also received a comprehensive education in music theory, composing, arranging, and recording. Dakota's teaching can be broken into three parts: Musicianship. Effective Practice, and The Theory Behind the Music. With a passion for teaching and a deep understanding and appreciation of music, students who go to Dakota leave with an excitement for music and the skills they need to become great guitarists and bassists.

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
