Daniel was born in North Carolina and moved to Utah at a young age. From the age of 8 years old Daniel has been involved in music in varying forms. He took piano lessons from the ages of 8 to 16. During that time he was also involved in percussion lessons in middle school, as well as teaching himself Ukulele at home. At 16, Daniel moved away from piano lessons to focus on percussion. He took private lessons for drumset from Jay Lawrence, a private teacher and faculty teacher at BYU and Snow College.
Daniel has an interest in all styles of music. From classic rock to modern pop; and from jazz to country to Latin, Daniel enjoys it all. Aside from typical High School band classes, he has been involved in Caleb Chapman’s renowned programs, jazz and Latin bands, marching band, study of music theory and everything in between. Daniel is a current student at BYU studying Music performance with a percussion emphasis. He enjoys playing together in groups and passing on the music that he loves and enjoys to others!
