Erin is from Montana and is currently a student at BYU-Idaho. She has been playing the violin since 2010 when she was 9 years old, has taken private lessons all growing up, and has loved deepening her love and understanding of the violin. Erin is a seasoned performer, and has played violin with the Great Falls Youth Orchestra and later with the Great Falls Symphony, and has participated in BYU-Idaho’s University Orchestra. Erin started teaching violin lessons during her senior year of high school, and later began teaching in a studio starting in the Summer of 2022. She focuses on classical violin, but also teaches some fiddle music.
Erin believes that learning an instrument helps develop life long skills such as commitment, expression, perseverance, and creativity. Her goal in teaching violin is to guide her students in a way that helps them develop these skills, as well as a passion for music.
