Sydney grew up in Ogden, Utah, and is excited to be back after living in New England for a while. She has always had a love for music and has never not been singing. She began taking piano lessons at age 8, guitar lessons at age 10, and voice lessons at age 13. She has recently taken on the challenge of the flute and the clarinet as well, and is really enjoying it! In 2023, Sydney graduated with a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music, with an emphasis in Contemporary Writing and Production, and voice as her primary instrument. There she composed for and directed orchestras, big bands, and string quartets among other groups. She was also a recipient of the Berklee World Tour Scholarship for songwriting and voice. She received training from incredible industry-experienced vocal coaches in both classical and contemporary genres. Sydney has been recognized for her musicianship in local and national competitions, most notably on season 22 of The Voice. She worked side-by-side with industry professionals there, and is eager to pass on knowledge from her experience. From 2023-2025 Sydney taught music at an elementary level, to kids ages 5-11. She taught both singing and several different instruments to students. She is excited to be a part of the Piano Place team, and she is driven to help each student excel!
