Georgia is a passionate guitarist and dedicated educator whose unique approach to teaching was shaped by early mentorship with a renowned Hollywood studio musician. This exceptional foundation sparked her deep love for jazz, which has become her area of expertise. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Music at BYU-Idaho, Georgia has been recognized for her academic excellence with inclusion on the Eliza R. Snow Exemplary Student List for Winter 2025. She has performed with Huntsville’s In the Mood big band, played in multiple big bands at BYU-Idaho, and contributed original compositions and arrangements as a member of the university’s jazz combos, further honing her creative and collaborative skills. Since beginning her teaching journey in early 2025, Georgia has drawn on her strong jazz background—rooted in the genre that has influenced much of modern music—to help students explore any style they wish to learn. She is committed to helping each student build a solid musical foundation, encouraging exploration, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
