Grace absolutely loves music and is always excited to meet new students. Teaching is near and dear to her heart, and she has never met a student she couldn't love! She started teaching in 2020, and, over the course of her career, has taught more than one hundred students (ranging in age from preschoolers to senior citizens). She has also run her own business and worked for 3 different music schools. Grace's family culture is heavy on the incorporation of all things classical. Each member of her family was required to take at least 10 years of music lessons. She started learning piano at the age of 6 and violin at the age of 10. These instruments quickly became her favorite hobbies, stress reliefs, and creative outlets. She studied piano under Professor Calvin Permenter from William Jewell College and violin under Bill Steel, an established luthier in the Kansas City area (both of them are also her honorary grandpas). She participated in the Kansas City Metropolitan Youth Sinfonia and Orchestra, was accepted into BYU-Idaho's piano performance program on scholarship, and is now a student at BYU Provo. Her passion for music is contagious, and she considers it a vital part of the "pursuit of happiness".
