Jarin has been playing music since his childhood in the early 90s. Starting on Piano, picking up Trumpet in middle school, and guitar in 2004. Since picking up guitar, Jarin has constantly played in, fronted, and sessioned for rock bands on guitar, piano, and vocals all over Utah. Notable groups include Apollo's Army, Mome Wrath, and self-titled works. He is currently working as one of the "new talent" pianists at the Keys on Main dueling piano show in Salt Lake City. Jarin's teaching philosophy is to find out what music his students are wanting to learn, and to get them playing that specific style as fast as possible. He specializes in playing and teaching popular music, focusing on chords sheets and tablature, mixing in traditional music theory along the way. In addition to working as a musician, Jarin has an educational background in audio engineering. He works in mixing live concerts, film audio, and occasionally in the studio recording/mixing/mastering music.
