Violin | Lehi / Highland, South Jordan

Jessica Denning-Crandall is a senior in the Viola Performance Program at Brigham Young University, where she has the privilege to study under Dr. Claudine Bigelow. She has studied previously with Dr. Elizabeth Kuefler- Wallace, and Deborah Moench. She was a member of the prestigious Gifted Music School located in Salt Lake City, Utah under the direction of Eugene Watanabe. She has had various opportunities to perform at music festivals in the United States, Canada, Belgium, Luxembourg and more.

Jessica has been playing the violin since she was 5 years old. She worked with Hiroko Lippman Driver, a student of Dr. Suzuki in Louisville, KY. Jessica had the privilege to work with the Rocky Mountain Strings with Ramona Stirling and Deborah Moench. With them, Jessica had the opportunity to travel throughout Europe performing and collaborating with local Suzuki violin students. She has played in various masterclasses with world-class violists James Dunham, Roger Chase, Atar Arad, and more. Jessica has been a finalist in BYU’s Senior Division Concerto Competition twice and was a member of the BYU Honors String Quartet. Jessica has been teaching the violin/viola for over 7 years and has loved every minute! Jessica also enjoys traveling, vintage shopping and Cheez-Its!
