Kat, originally from O'Fallon Illinois, is excited to be teaching piano and voice with Austin Music Academy! Kat's career highlights consist of singing at Carnegie Hall in New York City; touring Florida, Tennessee and Arkansas with the Webster Chamber Singers; and performing in operas with Conservatoire Montauban in France, Winter Opera Saint Louis, and LAHSOW in Austin, TX. She has also trained with Union Avenue Opera and Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. Additionally, Kat co-conducted two bilingual children's choirs while teaching with the TAPIF program in Toulouse, France. Kat has been teaching voice since 2018 and piano since 2025. She has a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance from Webster University (2020) and a Master's degree in International Arts Management from Southern Methodist University Dallas and HEC Montréal (2023). Kat is fluent in French, and can also coach on Italian, German, and English diction. She's also a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. Kat's dynamic teaching methods incorporate movement and games to engage younger students, and throw in music theory and vocal anatomy facts to enrich more experienced vocalists and pianists. Kat's classical music training combines with international teaching experience to provide piano and voice lessons for anyone willing to have fun, be silly, and try something new.
