Lia Gibbons has loved music for as long as she can remember. Her journey began at just four years old with piano lessons, and by age eight, she added violin to her growing list of instruments. Over the years, Lia has been mentored by several violin teachers, with Hayley West having the most influential impact on her musical growth.
In middle school, Lia discovered her passion for learning new instruments when she began studying the cello—an experience that sparked a lifelong curiosity and enthusiasm for musical exploration. She has continued to pick up new instruments ever since and has no plans to stop!
In high school, Lia served as the president of her school’s orchestra program, and she currently attends BYU where she is pursuing a minor in music. Most recently, she performed with both the University Orchestra and the University String Orchestra.
Lia's goal as a teacher is to inspire a love of learning and help her students discover the joy of playing new instruments, just as she has. She looks forward to guiding students on their musical journey with energy, encouragement, and passion.
