Melodee

Violin | Draper, Farmington

Melodee has been involved with music since she was little. She started by playing the piano, but as soon as she could read music she switched to the violin. Melodee is currently a music student at the University of Utah, and has taught students for three years. Her teaching philosophy is simple: that music should be an even balance of play and discovery as well as hard work and discipline. Melodee also has a passion for teaching neurodivergent students who may have a more difficult time practicing, and helping them to figure out a more engaging and efficient way for them to learn their instrument

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
