Everything you Need to Know About Musikgarten

Our wonderful Musikgarten Teacher Teri Lynn Holt Horne

Our South Jordan location is now open, and we are so excited to offer Musikgarten classes as part of our curriculum!

For those of you unfamiliar with this program, Musikgarten is an internationally recognized early-childhood music education program specially designed for toddlers and pre-K children. We currently offer classes for students ages 3-4 and 4-5, both taught by the amazing Teri Lynn Holt Horne.

Why Musikgarten? We love the Musikgarten philosophy— “when music and movement are a natural, joyous part of childhood, children benefit greatly in many areas of life.” We’ve seen the lives of students and their families change when they embrace music education for their older children, and can think of nothing better than extending that same life-changing opportunity to their younger siblings!

Musikgarten classes provide students a unique opportunity to combine music and physical movement to practice self-expression, strengthen language and fine motor skills, and participate in positive group play. These skills not only help children become amazing future musicians, but give them a framework for success in both academic and social settings.

But for us, the best part of the Musikgarten program is the fact that the activities learned in class are easily practiced at home— meaning you and your child can foster a love of music, learning, and play together as a family. From the fun songs to the encouragement to explore dance and personal creativity, everyone benefits from this program!

Of course, we could not offer these classes without the amazing Teri. She’s a certified Musikgarten instructor with years of experience in developing music education curricula as well as teaching Orchestra, violin, and music performance in both Utah and California. She’s passionate about sharing her love of music with her students, and can’t wait to bring her enthusiasm and knowledge to our studio in South Jordan!

For more information on enrollment for these classes, email us at [email protected] or call us directly at 801-893-2417 Ext. 3.  See you in class!

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
