Born in the heart of Salt Lake City, Bailey Lawson draws her soulful, powerful, and entrancing vocals from inspirations such as Carole King, Whitney Houston, Naomi Saalfield (Nai Palm), and Gracie Lawrence. Known for her strong mezzo-soprano and belt, her voice resonates with her listeners as well as within her own instrument with sounds often compared to her biggest inspiration, Sara Bareilles.
At the age of 12, joining her middle school choir, Bailey began her journey and self-discovery of these natural vocal abilities she possessed. In high school, she began a full-time hobby of music dance theatre, performed in many shows, and found her love for being on stage. After graduation, she continued her education and pursued a degree in music. She has a Bachelor of Music Degree with an Emphasis in Commercial Music from Snow College, specializing in Vocal Performance. Her experiences range from studio recording work and jazz quartet arranging to belting on a theatrical stage or a rock concert; she can perform in a wide variety of genres with great authenticity.
Bailey has great aspirations of becoming a singer, songwriter, and recording artist as she continues her education and performing experiences. She plans to work with local bands in Salt Lake City as a vocalist as well as work with local musicians to start working on original projects. Bailey has a knack for teaching and strives to inspire musicians in their life-long musical journey.
