Bridger

Bridger has been teaching piano since 2016 and is passionate about helping students discover both the joy and artistry of music. He earned a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Utah after completing his Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance at Southern Utah University. As part of his graduate studies, he received a full teaching assistantship and served as an Instructor of Record, teaching Music Theory, Music Rudiments, and Aural Skills. His original compositions have been recognized with Second Place in the Utah Music Teachers Association Composition Competition. In addition to maintaining a private piano studio, Bridger has taught group piano classes through the University of Utah Outreach Program and has extensive experience performing as both a soloist and collaborative pianist. He has accompanied vocalists, instrumentalists, and choirs, giving him a broad range of musical experience that he enjoys sharing with his students. Bridger believes music is not only a skill to master but also a creative outlet to explore. His goal is to help every student develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Bridger tailors each lesson to fit the individual's goals, interests, and learning style. He enjoys teaching students of all ages and experience levels, helping them build strong technical skills while developing creativity and genuine musical understanding. His lessons incorporate music theory, ear training, sight reading, and musical expression alongside piano technique, allowing students to become well-rounded musicians. Students interested in creating their own music can also explore beginning composition and arranging. Above all, Bridger strives to create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel excited to learn, challenged to grow, and proud of their accomplishments.
