Carly has always loved music and has loved learning different instruments and styles to play in. She mainly teaches piano but teaches beginner ukulele as well. Carly has been teaching since 2024. She has taken private piano lessons for 10+ years and is currently in the music program at BYU-Idaho studying the piano. She has participated in various piano competitions. She placed first in the Bennett Cup at her local high school and was also awarded a scholarship for music called the Shipley Scholarship. Classical piano is the genre that Carly mainly specializes in but she enjoys dabbling in other genres such as jazz. Carly believes that music should be a fun and growing experience for her students, and knows it can be as the students play repertoire they enjoy and see themselves growing in this new skill! She knows that music theory is so important in the growth of her students and includes learning it in lessons as well so that her students can gain a greater understanding of music as a whole, and see how everything works together!
