Chris

Piano, Voice | South Jordan

An accomplished classical baritone, Chris has studied voice since 2008, and piano since he was a child. He has performed in over 30 different opera and musical theater productions in leading and comprimario roles both in the US and overseas, and has also sung as an oratorio soloist with multiple professional ensembles. Chris earned his Masters of Voice Performance and Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ in 2019, and his Bachelors of Voice Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2017.Chris developed a love for music early in life when he began taking piano lessons at the age of 5. He has been singing in choirs for as long as he can remember, and has had the privilege of serving as Bass Section Leader in numerous choirs, tackling a wide variety of genres of music. He has a deep joy in all forms of singing and wants each of his students to have that same joy. Singing is one of the most primal, pure forms of human expression. Chris holds the fundamental belief that anyone, regardless of skill or talent, can learn to sing. It is his greatest wish to give all his students the tools they need to achieve their musical goals, whatever they may be.

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
