Cooper

Guitar, Piano | Sandy

Cooper Tolbert has been playing music since he was old enough to crawl onto a piano bench. At the age of 10, he began teaching himself piano and guitar through books and YouTube, and he’s been involved in just about everything music-related ever since—from show choir to bluegrass duos, musical theater to performing at weddings. He also attended Southern Utah University (SUU) for music.

While Cooper loves playing and learning music that already exists, he’s especially passionate about discovering the tunes that haven’t been written yet. He sees musical instruments as tools for exploring creativity, exercising our creative “muscles,” and, most importantly, having fun.

Cooper teaches beginner to intermediate guitar, beginner to intermediate bass, beginner piano, and beginner mandolin.

“Music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.”
- Billy Joel
